Even if you never stay in the Dusit Thani, you need to see the lobby. Its gigantic atrium fills up most of the space, providing a magnificent welcome for those who visit this five-star resort.

The 40 acres of manicured gardens overlook two beachfronts. The lobby's atrium includes a waterfall and more greenery, and sipping tea and munching on the delicious pastries that are served by the entrance is highly recommended.

Second floor suites are designed for families, and each comes with its private balcony. It's a popular choice for business seminars as there are 14 rooms to choose from, with the pillar-less ballroom being the most oppulent. The rest of the 462 rooms ooze class.

Foodies will be orgasmic over The Peak, which delivers Chinese cuisine and comes with panoramic views of the bay, or there's The Bay itself, an Italian restaurant that does Sunday barbecue buffets.
