The fact that you often need to wait to be seated in this 100-cover plus restaurant tells you something. Once you are given a chair, the first thing you notice is the central stage. Upon it are Thai musicians and dancers, who serve up a series of traditional performances.
The menu is exclusively Thai, with a hint of Chinese influence. Most dishes are around 120B with 7 per cent tax added at the end. We went for the standard Pad Thai with prawns, baked mussels and the more unusual Hong Kong-style beef.
The Pad Thai was good, but lacked a little freshness, although the prawns were larger than you normally get. The mussels were great - very meaty and with a fiery dip, while the beef dish was plentiful, and came with a tangy sauce.
If you have friends in town, then the cultural show on offer makes it a great dining choice for Pattaya, while the food serves as a good introduction to Thai cuisine. The restaurant is on Second Road, almost opposite the Royal Garden Plaza, and has its own parking.
