Tim’s makes more of an effort than most to impress. There’s the free bowl of fruit in your room, courtesy parking and, best of all, a Jacuzzi in the bathroom.
Tim’s may be better known for neighbouring pool bar and go-go, but these seem a world away from the quiet and calm of this hotel.
It’s not really much of a boutique place, a few pieces of modern art and décor, but nothing exceptional.
Rooms are reasonably sized, with well-stocked minibar, comfy chair and balcony, but for the price we’d expected a little more. The Jacuzzi is the undoubted highlight of the room, set in a large bath tub and with a range of controls.
Service could certainly be slicker – we sat in the lobby bar for 10 minutes before one of the 5 staff decided to come and serve us. They did come and fix our broken TV pretty quickly though.
Tim’s benefits from its location, near Soi Buakhao and within striking distance of Walking Street, but for the money we reckon there are plusher pads nearby.
